The Nutritional Benefits of the Ingredients

The vegetables in this soup, which typically include onions, carrots, celery, and tomatoes, are rich in vitamins, minerals, and dietary fiber. They are low in calories and high in antioxidants, which help protect the body against oxidative stress.

Legumes such as beans and peas are a great source of plant-based protein. They are also rich in dietary fiber, which aids in digestion and helps to control blood sugar levels.

Herbs like bay leaf and Italian seasoning not only add flavor to the soup, they also have health benefits. For example, bay leaf has been found to have antimicrobial and antioxidant properties, while Italian seasoning, a blend of herbs like oregano, thyme, and basil, is rich in antioxidants.
